Hi from all of us at Machen McChesney,

The Alabama Department of Revenue is receiving and considering applications for taxable grants of up to $15,000 for incurred, business interruption expenses related to COVID-19. The program is expected to remain open until July 25 at midnight, but of course the funds might be exhausted before then. So, please apply as soon as you can.

Even businesses which received PPP, EIDL Grant, or Pandemic Unemployment Assistance funds can still receive “Revive Alabama” grants for “eligible business interruption expenses up to 15k that were not covered with these other PPP, EIDL or PUA funds.”

For more information and details regarding the eligibility criteria, see the Alabama Department of Revenue’s information on the program at the link below, then click on “AM I ELIGIBLE TO APPLY”.

If eligible, click on “HOW DO I APPLY” and the site will give you general insight needed like below:

Applications are to be submitted using a “My Alabama Taxes” (MAT) account at https://myalabamataxes.alabama.gov/_/ .  According to the Alabama Department of Revenue, once you have an account, , you can log into that account and click on the “Apply for a Revive Alabama Small Business Grant” link in the “I Want To” section at the top right of the screen. Then complete and submit your application online.

You must create a MAT account ahead of time if you don’t already have one. The MAT account application for the Revive Alabama Small Business Grant program can be found at https://revenue.alabama.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Application-for-MAT-Account-for-RASB-grant.pdf.
