Issues for Employers Implementing the New Pension Standards

Effective June 30, 2015, governmental employers
are required to report their net pension liability (NPL)
in the full accrual financial statements. 
Cost-sharing
employers will report their share of the collective net
pension liability. The footnotes will disclose basic
information about the pension plan, the long-term
expected rate of return, the discount rate, the deferred
inflows of resources and deferred outflows of resources, and a sensitivity analysis.
